Week in Review | July 7-11

Yay it’s Friday! I don’t know about you but I’m ready for a relaxing weekend. So let’s make this a quick WIR, shall we?

Week in Review

  1. Dina of Honey & Fitz claims that there are “few things in this world that make me happier than driving or walking through a quaint New England seaside town.” I couldn’t agree more Dina, except I would add checking out a quaint New England home tour! And this Cohasset home stopped me in my tracks when I saw that fabulous salmon colored front door.
  2. Any blog post titled “An Ode to Toast” gets my attention. Oh She Glows made me drool over these four vegan combos.
  3. The Chic Table served up this ice cream pie perfect for these hot nights! Or any night in the life of a pregnant lady!
  4. I’m in love with this farmhouse country kitchen showcased on the Inspired Room. Especially the mint green door! Wow, it was a good week for doors, eh?

Week in Review | June 23-27

Sometimes it’s fun to review the week offline. It is summer after all. Time to unplug. So here’s an easy breezy quote I found in my latest issue of Country Living magazine. Hope your weekend is filled with plenty of grass-lying, water-listening, cloud-watching!

The Week in Review | June 16-20

I want to start off today’s post with a big thank you to my family. It’s been an emotional two weeks for me. Jared’s been away visiting our friend in Italy, I had to travel to San Francisco for work, I had another baby appointment so I got to hear my little one’s heartbeat again, and in the midst of all of these ups and downs and in betweens, my family was dealing with the loss of my Aunt.

Whether I’m beaming with delight or shedding some mournful tears, I always come back to the fact that I am so so grateful to be back in Massachusetts surrounded by family. There is no one that I’d rather share the joys and sorrows with than the people around us here. So thanks my peeps. I couldn’t be prouder to be part of this cast of characters.

Now let’s get things back to normal and check out some more emotionally stable bloggers…

Week in Review

  1. Julia Ryan shared her progress on the Big Boy Room. Love the neutrals with a pop of green. Maybe I’ll borrow for my little boy or girl room.
  2. This set up for Coco + Kelley‘s Saturday Supper Club is what I envision for our backyard harvest table set up. No curbside dining chair is safe from me! Sand it, paint it, call it a backyard dining chair!
  3. Thank you Dear Lillie for showing just how stunning an IKEA dresser can be with a little creativity!
  4. Savvy Home took us around this Sag Harbor house and I have to say, this photo made me fall in love with painted ship lap. Although is it still ship lap when it’s hung vertical? Maybe its just the nicest wood paneling I’ve ever seen then!
  5. And finally, I had to include yet another Julia Ryan post because when I came across this photo from her collection of white sofa inspirations, I wanted nothing more than to curl up in it and take the most wonderful afternoon nap right there!

The Week in Review | June 2-6

I shouldn’t complain since last summer we were heads down in renovation madness but boy do we have a busy couple of weeks! In fact, I’m pretty sure we’re doing something every weekend through mid-August. All happy, happy occasions and catching up with those we love (and abandoned last summer!) though. Unfortunately, our DIY projects may suffer from our social calendar. So let’s end this week with some pretty summer projects from the blogosphere instead…

Week in Review

  1. My Sweet Savannah made this cute towel rack out of a discarded wood panel. So simple and fun!
  2. Speaking of weekend’s filling up, don’t forget to set aside the 15th for Dad! I’ve never been one for extravagant gifts valuing an experience or memory over stuff but homemade gifts certainly trump all! The Chic Self is whipping up some homemade shaving cream for Dad which looks surprisingly simple!
  3. Daily Dream Decor walks us through a fab house with retro touches. This antique kitchen island is my favorite!
  4. I happen to share Jones Design Company’s love of white bedding. Is there anything better than flopping into big poufy white duvet at the end of a long day? It’s like floating on a cloud!
  5. Another stunning house tour came from Savvy Home. This Montauk Cottage is exactly what you’d want from a beach house- especially this huge shower stall to wash off after a day in the sand.

The Week in Review | May 12-16

I hope you enjoyed all the sun porch posts over the last few weeks. I promise not to bore you with that little crooked room any more! In fact, Where We Are Blog is taking a bit of a turn next week. We have an announcement to make and I bet you can guess what it is! Spoiler alert: we’re not moving! But it does involve a construction project of sorts. For now, here’s a little taste of the blogosphere…

Week in Review

  1. It was all about the outdoors this week! Kristin at the Hunted Interior painted her shed black. Way to go bold Kristin! I think it paid off! Especially with that gorgeous bone white plate display! Genius!
  2. It’s Overflowing is ready to overflow into the back yard and gives some great tips on outdoor entertaining.
  3. If you’re planning on an active summer, Pottery Barn’s Inside & Out Blog has great storage solutions for all that gear.
  4. A gourmet s’mores bar?! How do I get on that invite list? Check out these fun options like Chocolate Graham Crackers and Sea Salt Caramel Ghirardelli Chocolate Squares from Life on Virginia Street. Yum!
